It is the 1200s and Prince John, temporary King of England, and his lackey, the Sheriff of Nottingham are overtaxing the people of the kingdom in order to fund the personal coffers of the Prince. None of the people like it. A certain faction of the population, are willing to do something about it. The Men of Sherwood — the band that Robin Hood has formed, waylay the Sheriff and his tax collectors, and relieve them of their burdens — then return it to the people. A Knight, Sir Robert Newbold of Locksley (Robin Hood, pseudonymicly) leads his followers in a quest to prepare the country for the return of King Richard Lionheart, rightful and true King of England; to assume the throne once more. Prince John, Richard’s more-than-slimey brother, is doing everything he can to oppress the people and forestall the return of his Brother-King.
- Cast of Characters — 14M 2W + 8 guards, 8 soldiers, doubling is possible. The performers for TYA can be all youth/children, or cast as it is aged.
